Chartered Accountants
Manchester City Centre
If you are at the very start of your accountancy career and looking for a business that will help you learn, build up your accountancy knowledge and support you through your accountancy qualifications, this is the company for you.
Opportunities like this for Accounts Trainees just don’t come up anymore; the business is not bothered about whether you have previous accounts experience (if you do that’s great); they are more concerned with whether you have strong academics in Maths and the right attitude to compliment these.
You will be working for a firm of chartered accountants; one of the very best places you can start your finance career because of just how varied your work is, and how good the training is.
The first 3 months will be spent introducing you to what its like to work in an accounts department, teaching you about everyone’s roles and ensuring you understand where you fit into the team. After that you will be given a structured training plan with a dedicated mentor that will be on hand to ensure you are never out of your depth and always supported.
The best thing about this mentor is they have been in your shoes before; they will be someone that has progressed within the company having stared as a trainee just like you are (so they will know how you are feeling and where you will need support)
There is a full study contract available; with AAT / ACCA or ACA on offer depending on whether you are a school / college leaver or a recent graduate; but more importantly along with classroom training you will receive on the job training too; helping you to put what you are learning in your studies into practice in the workplace.
Your job role will be varied, with your mentor ensuring you get exposure to as many areas of accounts as possible to make your days as interesting as possible.
For anyone that has ambitions to progress there is plenty of scope for development and career progression – you will only need to look and speak to the people around you to see how realistic that is.
There is a great culture; they do plenty together outside of work through regular social events, and the offices are in the heart of the city centre, so really easy to get to and ideal for all public transport links.
To apply for the role you must have a minimum of GCSE’s in English and Maths (grade 5 and above), with A level students and graduates also welcome to apply, but most importantly you must have a positive attitude, and a real passion for starting your career in accounts.
For anyone completing their qualifications in the next few months your predicted grades will be considered.
