This role requires the successful candidate to relocate to Bermuda. All relocation costs will be covered by the client. On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, we are seeking an experienced professional to join their Policy & Strategy function in a senior leadership capacity.
Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding policy development, managing strategic initiatives, and overseeing a team responsible for high-level regulatory and legislative matters. This is a key opportunity to contribute to shaping policy within a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery of major policy and strategy projects across financial services
- Develop informed policy recommendations and support the resolution of complex regulatory and legislative issues
- Draft and review a range of policy materials, including consultation papers, discussion documents, and internal guidance
- Offer specialist knowledge and advice to both internal stakeholders and external partners across various financial service sectors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret regulatory frameworks and develop appropriate policy responses
- Mentor and support team members to achieve strategic deliverables on schedule
- Contribute to special projects and broader strategic initiatives, as required
- Master’s degree from a recognised institution; additional professional credentials in finance, law, or economics are preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the financial services sector, policy development, or within a regulatory environment, with at least 5 years in a senior role
- Strong background in policy writing and regulatory drafting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid understanding of international regulatory standards and the ability to navigate complex policy landscapes
- Proven leadership ability with experience guiding and developing teams
- Highly organised, analytical, and solutions-focused, with a commitment to excellence in delivery
