Azure DevOps Engineer (Relocation to Bermuda) This role requires the successful candidate to relocate to Bermuda. All relocation costs will be covered by the client. Our client is seeking a qualified and skilled professional to join their team as an Azure DevOps Engineer within their Management Services Department. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Azure DevOps Engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and managing a cloud environment based on Azure, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability. The role also includes configuring hybrid connectivity between on-site systems and the cloud environment, introducing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the software development lifecycle from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates. Main Responsibilities: Collaborating with stakeholders to establish plans that encompass development, infrastructure, security, compliance, and other related areas. Assisting in the build-out of the organization’s application portfolio on the Azure public cloud, leveraging modern design principles such as cloud-native architecture, microservices, and containerization. Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Azure infrastructure. Implementing and managing build infrastructure and automation for .NET-based applications. Managing and optimizing the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline using Azure DevOps tools. Identifying areas for process automation and improving development and release workflows. Overseeing deployment processes in collaboration with development and operations teams, ensuring smooth rollouts and contingency planning for rollbacks when needed. Troubleshooting and resolving application issues proactively. Developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines to align with DevOps principles. Implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data and ensure business continuity. Acting as an internal expert for the assigned systems, maintaining awareness of changes and updates. Undertaking additional projects or tasks assigned by management, consistent with the role’s competencies. Minimum Skills and Qualifications: Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in the same disciplines with a relevant certification (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Terraform Associate, or DevOps Engineer Expert). At least seven (7) years of experience in Microsoft Azure, including design, deployment, configuration, and optimization, or as a DevOps Engineer, with at least three (3) years at a senior level within a relevant business sector. Proven experience in designing and operating medium to large-scale enterprise infrastructure, databases, and application systems. Familiarity with .NET Core is advantageous. Expertise in Azure Cloud Services (PaaS and IaaS), Azure storage capabilities, and Azure DevOps. Proficiency in CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, TeamCity/Bamboo, SonarQube, Artifactory/Nexus, and Azure Artifacts. Hands-on experience with “Infrastructure as Code” tools such as Ansible, Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, and Git source control. Skilled in scripting languages, including Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, Go, and Azure CLI. Experience with build tools such as Maven, MS Build, Cake, and Node. Demonstrated expertise in cloud migration and transformation using Azure tools and best practices. Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with multiple stakeholders. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail to address complex challenges effectively.
