The Plastic Centre is one of the largest independently owned manufacturers and distributors of building plastics in the UK. We currently have a branch network of 21 branches and have ambitious plans to grow the branch network over the next 5 years.
We believe the Trade Counter Assistant/Driver role is key in the Branch Network and should provide us with a talent pool for those wanting to become our Assistant Managers of the future. This is a role where the individual enjoys the day-to-day interaction with our customer base either in the branch or on site.
What we are looking for:
- Confident people who are hands-on, get stuck in, support the wider team and can interact with our customers
- PC literate, comfortable navigating your way around a keyboard
- Comfortable lifting 5 metre lengths of plastic and drainage
- Be a part of a winning culture - we work hard but have fun doing it
- Must have a full UK driving licence
- Positive attitude over previous trade experience trumps every time!
- Can deputise for the Assistant Branch Manager in their absence
- Individuals that are keen to develop into our future Assistant Managers
Accountabilities:
- Supporting the Branch team in the day-to-day activities
- Ensuring the branch is complying with our operational procedures
- Picking, loading, serving and delivering our products to our customer base
- Identifying sales opportunities whilst out on the road
