Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in London in the search for a Planning Validations Officer to join their Town Planning department.
Main responsibilities of the role will include:
- Validating and processing all types of planning applications including checking submissions against national and local check lists and relevant guidance, checking accuracy of the drawings, identifying statutory and non-statutory consultees in compliance with the Council\’s requirements.
- Using Uniform (Idox) to redact, upload and update all documents and relevant information relating to Planning Applications.
- Providing advice on planning applications. To provide information, guidance and advice as required to applicants, agents and members of the public.
- Providing responses to correspondence and telephone enquiries, complaints and E-mails within the Council\’s Corporate time scales.
- Liaising with officers in development management, planning policy and other departments.
- Undertaking other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature and of a similar responsibility to those described above, which may be allocated from time to time and provide cover for absent team members.
