Key Responsibilities

  • Lead officer for major, high‑profile planning applications, including strategic sites under the new Local Plan.
  • Work within a holistic, co‑located team of expert consultees to deliver excellent planning outcomes.
  • Prepare and present cases to formal legal inquiries, manage Section 106 Agreements, and coordinate with elected members and the community.
  • Advise on development management, local, regional and national policy, and deliver responsive decision‑making.

  • Proven experience in managing major planning applications and presenting cases to formal legal inquiries.
  • Detailed knowledge of planning applications, Section 106 Agreements and development management, including local, regional and national policies and priorities.
  • Excellent time‑management skills.
  • A passion for place‑making and sustainable development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with stakeholders.
