Overview

This post presents a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about placemaking, including those at early stages in their career, to join Swansea Council's Planning Service and contribute to ambitious placemaking and heritage regeneration agendas.

Responsibilities

  • Guide projects of varying scales through advice, negotiation and leadership within the Placemaking and Heritage Team.
  • Develop placemaking skills and take focused responsibility on projects within a supportive and structured team environment.
  • Collaborate across departments to support Swansea’s placemaking and heritage agendas and maintain a high standard of collaboration and performance.

Qualifications and experience

  • Relevant experience in placemaking or related fields.
  • Desirable membership of a relevant professional body (IHBC, RIBA, RTPI or Recognised Practitioner in Urban Design) or ongoing training to achieve this.
