Town Planner

Location: Skipton, North Yorkshire (Office-based with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE + Benefits
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

• Manage a varied portfolio of rural and countryside planning projects.
• Prepare, submit and manage planning applications from inception through to determination.
• Provide planning advice to landowners, developers and rural businesses.
• Produce planning statements, appeals and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with local planning authorities, consultees and stakeholders.
• Identify planning opportunities and constraints for development sites.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Keep up to date with planning legislation and policy changes.

About You

• A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• MRTPI status or working towards chartership.
• Experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or private practice.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service.
• A full UK driving licence.
