With nearly a dozen new roles recruited to over the last few months we are looking to complete the team to drive a new local plan and deliver economic growth and regeneration in line with the Planning and Infrastructure Bill and the National Planning Policy Framework.

Amongst many other exciting opportunities, we are now recruiting to the following roles:
- Planning Policy Lead Officer 235 – salary £68,889 p.a. As the Planning Policy lead, you will report directly to the Borough’s Chief Planning Officer and will be responsible for leading on the Local Plan, which is shortly to be published for consultation. A sound Local Plan is vital if we are to deliver our vision for Swindon, and your role in leading that process is critical.
- Principal Planning Officer (Policy) 236 – salary £52,805 p.a. You will provide senior level planning expertise to deliver the council’s planning policy functions in a customer focused and solutions led way creating the right conditions for accelerating high-quality development and supporting sustainable growth in Swindon. Key to this is our Local Plan which is shortly to be published for consultation.
- Senior Planner (Development Management) 237 – salary £49,764 p.a. You will provide senior level planning expertise to deliver the Council’s Development Management function in a customer focused and solutions led way creating the right conditions for accelerating high-quality development and supporting sustainable growth in Swindon.
- Planner (Development Management) 238 – salary £39,513 p.a. You will provide planning expertise to deliver the Council’s Development Management function in a customer focused and solutions led way creating the right conditions for accelerating high-quality development and supporting sustainable growth in Swindon.
- Planner (Planning Enforcement) 239 – salary £39,513 p.a. You will provide planning expertise to deliver the Council’s Planning Enforcement function in a customer focused and solutions led way creating the right conditions for accelerating high-quality development and supporting sustainable growth in Swindon.
