About the roles

Due to internal progression, we have exciting opportunities for ambitious planners who want to work on something bigger. Our New Communities Team is recruiting at Senior Planning Officer and Principal Planning Officer level to help deliver some of the most ambitious growth projects in Devon, including:

  • the continued development of the Cranbrook new town
  • emerging proposals for a second new town at Marlcombe
  • major planning applications within the Exeter and East Devon Enterprise Zone

This is strategic, long-term place‑making – not routine casework. You’ll be working on large, complex schemes that shape how new communities grow, how infrastructure is delivered and how high‑quality places are created.
