Contract: 3+ Months – 36 Hours per week – Hybrid Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Planning to drive strategic development, policy, and regeneration. This is a unique opportunity to lead on major projects, sustainability initiatives, and urban growth while ensuring high-quality planning services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee development management, planning enforcement, and building control
2. Lead on policy, Local Plan updates, and sustainability initiatives
3. Manage planning applications, appeals, and stakeholder engagement
4. Ensure compliance with government targets and planning legislation

What We’re Looking For:

1. Chartered Planner Status (RTPI) with senior leadership experience
2. Strong background in development management and strategic planning
3. Experience advising senior leadership and elected officials
4. Political awareness, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
