A senior office position within the Development Management team. This is a 4‑month initial contract (37 hours per week, flexible working). The successful candidate will work in development management reporting to the Development Manager Team Leader and will act as a case officer for senior‑level planning applications and pre‑application enquiries, including EIA developments.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a case officer for senior level planning applications and pre‑application enquiries, including EIA development.
- Negotiate on developer contributions/Section 106 Agreements.
- Progress applications and present to the Strategic Planning Committee.
- Progress planning appeals as required.
- Work independently and professionally in a high‑pressure environment.
- Demonstrate strong project management, time management and negotiation skills.
Requirements:
- Qualified town planner with experience within Development Management at Senior Officer level.
- Experience of negotiating on developer contributions/Section 106 Agreements.
- Strong project management, time management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative in a professional manner.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid working: 1 day in the office per week required.
