Overview

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in Essex in their search for a Planning Enforcement Officer to join their Town Planning Department. This will be offered on an initial 3-month contract.

Responsibilities

  • Support with a backlog of cases due to movement within the team.
  • Be an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer with recent local authority experience and the ability to pick up own caseload, carry out investigations and write reports.
  • Communicate clearly and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders as this is a customer-focused role.
  • Flexible working is offered with an expectation of site visits / office presence required once a week.

  • Experienced Planning Enforcement Officer with recent local authority experience.
  • Ability to hit the ground running, manage own caseload, conduct investigations and produce reports.
  • Strong customer-focused communication and stakeholder liaison skills.
