The predicted salary is between 32790 - 35163 £ per year.
We are looking for talented individuals who can contribute to the delivery of a high performing customer focused service. We welcome applications from candidates who are working towards obtaining either a planning related degree, or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning, or a degree in a related discipline and a willingness to work towards gaining an accredited postgraduate qualification in town planning. Candidates should have theoretical knowledge of the planning process and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
Our Graduate Planning Officers, with support from experienced colleagues, will consider and negotiate straightforward planning applications and provide recommendations on applications. This includes making delegated recommendations, engaging with colleagues, Councillors and other stakeholders to ensure the right planning outcome. You will be developing your knowledge of planning related legislation and delivering positive outcomes to our customers and residents.
The ideal candidate needs to be a strong team player who is well organised, articulate in spoken and written communication and able to take the initiative to help drive forward individual projects and the team’s overall objectives.
