Deputy Strategic Planning Manager
12‑month Fixed Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity
Responsibilities
- Lead the production of parts of the Local Plan and oversee the adoption of the Stamford Hill Area Action Plan and examination of the Future Shoreditch Area Action Plan.
- Support and deputise for the Strategic Planning Manager in leading the Strategic Planning Team.
- Line‑manage other officers and manage local planning policy projects.
- Play a key role in delivering the team's strategic vision to ensure Hackney offers opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Qualified town planner with a relevant postgraduate qualification in Town Planning (or equivalent) providing eligibility for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
- Experience delivering planning policy projects and line‑managing staff.
- Experience working on local plan development and area action plan examination and adoption.
