Are you an ambitious Town Planner looking for your next opportunity in the South East? Our client, a well‑established planning consultancy based in Chichester, is seeking a motivated Town Planner to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of residential, commercial, mixed‑use and strategic development projects while developing your career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
As a Town Planner, you will be involved in all aspects of the planning process, working closely with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful planning outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals.
- Undertaking planning appraisals and policy research.
- Providing planning advice to a varied client base.
- Liaising with local planning authorities and key stakeholders.
- Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation.
- Monitoring planning policy changes and relevant legislation.
- Supporting senior planners on larger and more complex projects.
About You
- A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- MRTPI membership or progress towards chartership (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or developer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A proactive approach and a genuine passion for planning.
