We are seeking a Solution Systems Architect to join our clients growing Legal Technology team. This role focuses on designing, supporting, and optimizing the Legal Technology stack, ensuring systems meet business requirements efficiently and effectively.
The Solution Architect will report into the Legal and Procurement Systems organization, part of the wider Enterprise Technology function. While core system development is handled primarily by vendors, this role will provide technical oversight, configuration, and solution design across multiple legal systems.
The successful candidate will gain deep technical exposure across multiple legal enterprise platforms, as well as AI, at a time when legal technology is one of the fastest-transforming domains. Our ideal hire will be someone who is ambitious and intellectually curious; the role offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to solve problems across an entire legal technology landscape, rather than being confined to a single platform or silo.
System Support and Configuration:
- Act as a technical architect for legal technology systems, providing guidance and support for configuration and use.
- Conduct root cause analysis on issues, determine action plans, and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors on system configuration, releases, and new functionality—ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Develop calculated fields, condition rules, and business processes to meet requirements.
- Work with other solution architects across technologies to mitigate system impacts and dependencies.
- Perform smoke testing on configurations before release to ensure quality and minimize errors.
- Support UAT by developing technical test cases and validating system changes.
- Identify and propose technology improvement opportunities within the Legal Technology stack.
Essential:
- Significant years of Workday configuration experience in any area (Finance/Procurement modules highly desirable).
- Familiarity with any legal technology solution is a plus (e.g., contract lifecycle management, matter management, incident management).
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to apply data-driven approaches to technical configuration.
- Working knowledge of PowerBI or similar reporting/data tools.
- Prior experience supporting legal teams in a technical capacity is beneficial but not required.
- Results-oriented, independent, collaborative, adaptable, and agile.
- 3+ years of ERP system configuration experience (essential).
- Experience in technical support or solution architecture within enterprise technology is desired.
