The Planet Group have recently been engaged by a market leading manufacturer of high-tech sensors who are looking for a Contract Quality Engineer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract based in Plymouth. Functionally reporting to the UK Quality Lead. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for implementation and maintenance of the Quality and Delivery Clinic (QDAC) activities within the UK operation of the business.
- Manage Quality Costs
- An AS9100 Aerospace Quality Management System Qualification and/or significant experience.
- Competent in the use of common IT software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access databases and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of all common Core Quality tools including PPAP, APQP, Control Plan, FMEA, SPC, 8D and MSA.
- A basic awareness of Quality Management Systems such as ISO17025, ISO27001.
- Ideally experience of working with Japanese businesses.
- Knowledge of Automotive IATF 16949 advantageous.
