Overview
Mediplacements are looking to recruit a band 7 Speech and Language Therapist for a locum position with our client in London. The pay for this position is £27-£35 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
Responsibilities
- Provide an autonomous, highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy service to children aged 0-5 and adolescents with dysphagia, social communication differences/autism and complex needs, across an acute site (The Acute Ward – Jack’s Place).
- Manage own caseload and work alongside medical and community colleagues to ensure communication and eating, drinking and swallowing needs are appropriately managed within the hospital environment.
- Collaborate with babies/children/young people (BCYP), parents/carers and with MDT colleagues including health, education or social services to plan and deliver services for these client groups.
- Advise, support and supervise other SLTs working with children with complex needs and/or dysphagia in Harrow community settings.
