The Place exists to develop, nurture and celebrate dance ideas and experiences for all. Watch and enjoy dance in our theatre, on tour or online, study dance with some 250 of the most diverse and extraordinary dance artists at London Contemporary Dance School or with other young people in our Centre for Advanced Training.

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Operations & Systems Coordinator to support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the business across data management, systems administration, and office operations. This is a varied coordination role that includes light first‑line IT support, data administration, and operational support. You will act as a key internal contact for staff, working closely with our external Managed Service Provider (MSP) for all technical issues, and helping ensure our systems, data, and office processes run efficiently.

This post will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • IT and Systems Coordination
    • Provide basic first‑line support for staff (simple troubleshooting, device setup, account access).
    • Log and escape technical issues to the MSP and coordinate resolutions.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and onboarding/offboarding across Microsoft 365 with the MSP support.
    • Assist with on‑site hardware setup (laptops, monitors, peripherals).
    • Maintain internal IT documentation, asset lists, and simple processes.
  • Data and System Management
    • Maintain and administer the company’s core operational platforms that manage organisational records and relationships i.e. Student Information Systems (SIS) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems; and support staff in using the tools.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency.
    • Carry out data imports, updates, and cleansing activities.
    • Produce basic reports and dashboards for operational and management teams.
    • Assist with data governance and routine data management processes.
    • Training will be provided across systems and tools as needed.
  • Operations Support
    • Manage office supplies, equipment ordering, and supplier coordination.
    • Support operational projects, process improvements, and internal workflows.
    • Help maintain smooth office operations and a well‑functioning working environment.
  • Meetings and Coordination
    • Attend operations meetings, take notes, and track action items.
    • Monitor operational tasks and follow up on deliverables.
    • Support cross‑department communication where systems or data are involved.
    • Provide operational support to the Head of Operations when required.
