About Us

At The Hathershaw College, we are an inclusive, community-focused school where diversity is celebrated and every individual is valued. Our mission is simple: to ensure our students are happy, safe, and empowered to learn. We take pride in our rising academic standards. Our curriculum is designed for the modern world, balancing a strong core of English, Maths, and Science with a deep investment in the Arts. Through our partnership with the Music in Secondary Schools Trust (MiSST), we are proud to deliver the Andrew Lloyd Webber programme, providing world‑class musical opportunities to our students. Education at Hathershaw goes beyond the classroom. We place a significant emphasis on personal development, complemented by an extensive extra‑curricular programme that enriches our students’ social and academic experiences. As a member of The Pinnacle Learning Trust, our students benefit from a seamless transition to Oldham Sixth Form College, where the vast majority of our students continue their journey. We inspire our young people to aim high, whether that is college, university, or higher‑level apprenticeships to help them secure the best possible opportunities for their future. While we may not have the newest building in Oldham, we believe it’s the passion, learning, and community inside the walls that truly define a school’s success.
