The Science faculty at present consists of 9 full‑time and 2 part‑time teachers with specialisms across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, along with 2 experienced Lab Technicians. We are housed in a suite of 10 laboratories, which are currently on a rolling programme of modernisation, including Promethean Screens being installed in each room. We have 3 Prep Rooms. There is an excellent team ethos which is supportive and friendly. Our Science Department is collaborative, forward‑thinking and passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists. We offer a broad and engaging curriculum, excellent facilities and a culture of support and professional growth. We have very high standards and a commitment to our students to ensure they value the learning of science and achieve success. We support ITT and ECT students and we embrace CPD to ensure that our teaching is the best it can be. We offer AQA Separate Sciences and Combined Science (Trilogy) courses at GCSE. At KS5, students can opt to study Applied Science (AAQ) or A‑Level Sciences (Edexcel Specifications).

The Pingle Academy is seeking a dedicated teacher of Science with an infectious passion for the subject to join us. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our dedicated team. Applications are welcomed from candidates with any science specialism; however, a background in Chemistry would be particularly advantageous. The successful candidate will be able to teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4 to students of all abilities, including Triple Science and Higher Tier courses. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support students in achieving their full potential within a thriving science department.
