The Pingle Academy is part of the Affinity Learning Partnership, a Multi Academy Trust serving Staffordshire and Derbyshire. The Trust comprises three secondary and four primary academies, focused on raising aspirations and securing exceptional outcomes for every student.
The successful candidate will lead Psychology within the Social Science department and support the wider team as needed.
Role Subject: Psychology (KS4 and KS5). The postholder will deliver the Psychology curriculum, aiming to inspire students to excel and progress to KS5 courses. The department emphasises high standards of student learning, attainment and behaviour, with a focus on effective teaching aligned with current practice and research.Responsibilities:- Lead Psychology within the Social Science department and support related smaller subjects as agreed during interview.
- Deliver KS4 and KS5 Psychology, implementing the curriculum effectively in line with best practice.
- Promote high standards of student learning, achievement, progress and behaviour through collaboration with colleagues.
- Contribute to the development of teaching and learning strategies that raise attainment and ensure high-quality educational experiences for all students.
- Experience and confidence delivering KS4 and KS5 Psychology.
- Ambition and dedication to implement effective teaching aligned with current research.
- Ability to work collaboratively to promote excellent standards of learning and behaviour.
