Your Role: As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team in delivering exceptional food standards by maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment. You’ll play a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently and adheres to all hygiene and safety requirements. Joining the kitchen brigade, you will:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen
- Wash and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules, including deep cleaning tasks
- Ensure kitchen floors and workspaces are clean, safe, and hazard‑free
- Handle waste and recycling in line with health and safety guidelines
- Support the checking and storage of deliveries to ensure quality and freshness
- Assist with basic food preparation for the hotel menu and events
- Carry out temperature checks on refrigeration equipment and report any issues
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly and maintained in prime condition
