We’re looking for a Graduate Sales & Trade Marketing Executive to support our growing e-commerce and commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands‑on experience across sales, e-commerce account management, trade marketing, customer presentations, product launches and commercial analysis within a fast‑paced consumer goods business.
Location: Bourne End, Bucks (UK HQ) – Office based 2 days a week, with travel to customers and for business needs.
Role Purpose: This is a hybrid commercial role combining responsibility for a portfolio of e‑commerce accounts with support for delivering high‑quality, consistent trade marketing content across the wider sales team. The successful candidate will support the management and growth of e‑commerce customers while also acting as a key marketing support resource, helping to ensure all customer‑facing materials are aligned, compelling and on‑brand. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early‑career candidate looking to build a career in sales, e‑commerce and trade marketing within a fast‑paced consumer goods business. The role offers broad commercial exposure, direct customer responsibility and the opportunity to work cross‑functionally across sales, marketing and e‑commerce.
Key Responsibilities:
- E‑Commerce Account Management
- Support the management of a portfolio of e‑commerce accounts
- Assist in delivering sales targets and supporting account performance
- Support range reviews and customer meetings where appropriate
- Optimise online product listings including content, imagery, SEO and enhanced content
- Support new product launches across e‑commerce platforms
- Analyse customer sales‑out data and performance metrics
- Track retail pricing and competitor activity
- Complete new line forms and customer setup documentation
- Coordinate and send product samples to customers
- Prepare and participate in monthly “One Ecommerce Forum” meetings and channel reviews
- Under the guidance of both the Head of Marketing and Head of Sales, and in conjunction with the Marketing team:
- Create compelling “selling story” presentations for current and new product launches
- Build standardised, on‑brand PowerPoint slides for customer meetings
- Ensure consistent messaging across all customer presentations
- Develop and maintain a central library of approved trade marketing materials
- Create and update PowerPoint templates including trade marketing content, GfK data and market insights, and category performance highlights
- Support preparation for key customer meetings and range reviews
- Support the wider sales team with administrative and reporting tasks during peak periods, including customer sales‑out reporting, store visit image collation, and new line submission forms
- Prepare quarterly territory review sheets for approval
- Maintain accuracy and consistency of customer‑facing documents
- Brand & Content Governance
- Ensure consistency of brand messaging across all customer‑facing materials
- Maintain marketing content in email signatures
- Manage a product launch calendar and support activation timing across teams
- Ensure all trade presentations align with agreed brand messaging
- Maintain up‑to‑date corporate templates and correct brand usage, including fonts and formatting standards
- Manage and maintain up‑to‑date product displays in the boardroom
Key Skills & Experience:
- Recent graduate (or graduating soon) in Marketing, Business, Economics, Retail, E‑commerce or a related commercial discipline
- A placement year, internship or degree apprenticeship within FMCG, retail, e‑commerce, consumer goods or a brand‑led business would be highly advantageous
- Strong interest in sales, e‑commerce, trade marketing and brand building
- Commercially curious with an interest in how products are sold both online and in‑store
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation‑building skills
- Comfortable analysing data and drawing insights from sales or market information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proactive, collaborative and eager to learn in a fast‑paced commercial environment
- Confident using Excel and PowerPoint; experience with retailer portals, Amazon or market data tools would be beneficial but not essential
