The role of Product Manager at ESL oversees product portfolio, pricing, and data to ensure the right products are available and competitive. They analyse market trends and performance to drive profitability and opportunities. Working across teams, they help deliver efficient operations and a strong customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product data governance
    • Own the master product catalogue
    • Define and enforce product data standards
    • Control who can create/modify product records
    • Ensure sustained data quality
  • Strategic pricing
    • Establish cost prices (landed cost + allocation etc)
    • Define strategic market prices and pricing rules
    • Set minimum margins by product category
    • Manage customer-specific pricing matrices
  • Market Intelligence
    • Monitor competitor activity and market trends
    • Monitor competitor pricing
    • Track supplier price movements
    • Identify speculative purchasing opportunities
    • Analyse product performance and profitability
  • Cross-functional Coordination
    • Work with Sales on quotation automation
    • Work with Purchasing on supplier performance and negotiations
    • Work with Finance on cost of delivery allocation
    • Enable B2B Portal with accurate product data
