We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Credit Control Clerk to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in credit control or a second mover in the position, looking to develop their skills in accounts receivable, customer relationship management, and financial administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the company’s credit control processes and procedures
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments
- Contact clients via phone and email to chase outstanding invoices
- Allocate incoming payments accurately to customer accounts
- Support the preparation of aged debt reports
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
- Assist in resolving invoice queries and discrepancies
- Work closely with internal departments to resolve billing issues
- Support month-end closing activities related to receivables
- Complete Bank Reconciliations
- Other Ad-Hoc duties
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of accounting or finance principles
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
- Experience with Business Central is desirable
- Previous experience in a credit control or finance role is desirable
