Are you passionate about good food, high standards, and creating a welcoming environment? We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant or Chef to join our friendly team at Clayhill Head Office in Lyndhurst.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking a part-time role with sociable daytime hours and no evening shifts. You'll play a key part in preparing and delivering a fresh, self-service lunch offering for our Head Office team while maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing the kitchen and service area ready for lunch each day.
- Preparing and presenting food in line with the weekly menu.
- Making sure soup and other hot food items are ready for service.
- Safely cooling, labelling and storing leftover food.
- Preparing and packaging food for weekend team members.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Managing stock rotation, food labelling and date checking.
- Reporting any stock shortages, equipment issues or food safety concerns.
- Assisting with food orders and general kitchen duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or food-service environment.
- A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Someone who takes pride in keeping a kitchen clean, organised and efficient.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks with minimal supervision.
- A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
- A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
