Location: THE PIG-in the Cotswolds, Barnsley, GL7 5EE
Salary: £14.50 per hour (OTE £16.23 per hour, including tronc)
Hours: 40 hours per week over 5 days, including paid overtime
A Pastry Chef de Partie role at THE PIG is like no other. We use local suppliers within a 25-mile radius, our own homegrown kitchen garden produce and a bit of love to create our menus, which change all the time. Our Chefs are passionate and above all driven to provide our guests with an unforgettable dining experience; creativity is what we do best.
Our chefs are chatty people, having constant conversations with the gardeners, local farmers, butchers, and fishmongers about what is available and what is in season. As a PIG Pastry Chef de Partie you will oversee and manage one of our Pastry sections. You will be responsible for the junior staff on the section, so good people management skills are needed. We want our Pastry Chef de Parties to be as passionate and enthusiastic about modern British food and classic desserts as we are. Can you remember who inspired you to be a chef? Can you do this for someone else?
We run an award-winning apprenticeship programme; as a Pastry Chef de Partie you will take an active role in leading, teaching and inspiring the apprentices. We’re seeking Pastry Chef de Parties with confidence and ability to support a dynamic team. Our Chef de parties can experience what we offer at more than one of our properties, as well as stepping up into a Senior Pastry Chef de Partie or Head Pastry Chef roles.
