We are looking for a passionate and creative Marketing, Communications and admin person, to help us expand Pied Pipers reach, engagement, and impact. In this role, you’ll be responsible for shaping our message, helping improve our communication and ensure all our supporters stay informed and inspired. Your work will involve helping to develop and manage an engaging social media strategy, writing compelling content, and promoting fundraising campaigns and events. A key part of this role is growing our digital audience, increasing engagement, and ensuring our online presence reflects the impact of our work. You’ll also work closely with our team and Trustees to gather and share powerful stories that showcase the difference we make to sick and disabled children across Gloucestershire.

As part of a small team, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of key projects, contribute ideas, and play a vital role in strengthening our marketing and communications strategy whilst maintaining our database. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys telling a compelling story, has an eye for detail, and thrives in a dynamic, purpose-driven charity environment. The role is for 30 hours per week. We are open to discussing work patterns and preferred working days with the right candidate, but the role will periodically require some weekend working due to our key events of the year. This role has the potential to become full time in the future if the candidate has a long‑term desire to do so.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an engaging social media strategy to maintain Pied Pipers audience and reach.
  • Create and manage engaging content for social media, website, newsletters, and marketing materials alongside the Fundraising and Events Manager.
  • Promote events, campaigns, and fundraising initiatives through digital and traditional channels.
  • Liaise with the Pied Piper team to collect and share inspiring case studies and impact stories.
  • Monitor and analyse communication performance, using insights to refine strategies.
  • Maintain brand consistency and assist in evolving our communications approach.
  • Assist with Pied Piper Events Administration and general office admin where required as support for the team.
About You
  • Experience in marketing or communications.
  • Strong copywriting, content creation, and digital marketing skills.
  • Experience with social media management, website CMS (WordPress), and email marketing.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategies to grow audience engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience in the non‑profit sector.
  • Knowledge of fundraising and communications.
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.
  • Full driving licence.
