Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Specialist – full and part‑time opportunities available.
Hours
- Full‑time: 4 days of 9.5 hours (38 hours) or 5 days of 7.5 hours (37.5 hours) across a seven‑day rota.
- Part‑time: 2 or 3 days of 9.5 hours or 4 days of 7.5 hours on a seven‑day rota.
Location: Farnham or The Beacon Centre at Guildford.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist palliative and end‑of‑life care to patients, families and carers in the community.
- Use advanced communication skills, advance care planning and symptom‑management knowledge to assess and meet patient needs.
- Manage caseloads and make autonomous decisions, applying critical thinking and clinical judgment.
- Work in the Advice and Referral Team, offering a single point of access for referrals, advice and support for multidisciplinary care.
- Collaborate with a multi‑professional team and support patients and families to live well.
- Advance clinical practice, educate colleagues and continuously improve service quality.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, including MSc modules in Advanced Clinical Practice.
Qualifications
- RGN Degree‑level qualification.
- Current NMC registration in adult or general nursing.
- Extensive experience in palliative / end‑of‑life care or long‑term conditions.
- Car licence and ownership.
- Experience in multidisciplinary team working with external partners.
- Ability to make autonomous decisions, demonstrating decision‑making, critical thinking and proactive caseload management.
