Phoenix is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Pastoral Manager, to provide a highly visible presence in school. Acting as a role model to students by proactively challenging and motivating and through establishing productive working relationships, the postholder will support and enhance the provision of pastoral care within our House system.
They will also take a lead role in implementing whole school activities and interventions to address specific attendance, behaviour, punctuality or achievement issues and duties will include running behaviour spaces throughout the school day.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of dealing with safeguarding concerns in an education setting and ideally, a background in providing support to young people through behaviour management techniques, counselling or mentoring. They will also demonstrate the proven ability to work effectively with parents/carers and a range of external agencies.

Start Date: September 2026, subject to satisfactory clearances
Phoenix is committed to the protection and safety of its students. An enhanced DBS will be required before commencement in the post, together with a Social Media check, in accordance with ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ statutory guidance.
The post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
