TITLE: TemporaryLearning Support Assistant– Level 2

GRADE: Grade B – £19,607 per annum after adjustment for part time hours

and weeks

ALLOWANCE: Special Needs Allowance £1198p.a. (actual amount)

LOCATION: Phoenix, Clarkes Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B71 2BX

HOURS: 31.25 hours per week, Term Time + 5 INSET Days

CONTRACT: Maternity Leave cover until July 2027

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our team of dedicated, hard-working colleagues, who contribute to an established culture of supporting students with additional needs.

Some of the duties and responsibilities are:

  • Supporting individual and group work to raise core skills, supporting Personalised Learning Plans and help students access the national curriculum

    Assisting students to access the school curriculum and in the use of

  • resources - including IT
  • General support to students in line with Education, Health and Care Plans or planned provision
  • Assisting in the assessment of students’ attainment and with the recording and monitoring of students’ progress
  • Assisting with the supervision of students on school trips/visits

    You will have attained GCSE grade 4 or above (or an equivalent qualification) and ideally, will have experience of working with children or young people in an education setting.
