Phoenix is a multi-cultural 11-19 secondary school, serving 1,965 students in the north of West Bromwich close to the border with Walsall in the West Midlands. Opened in September 2010, as a result of the merger of two local schools, Phoenix has established itself as one of the highest performing schools in the area, an accolade achieved through commitment to continually improving the quality of teaching and learning and the provision of an exciting and dynamic learning experience for students.

We are seeking to appoint a highly talented and innovative, qualified teacher of Music to join our friendly and supportive team. We are looking for someone who has a confident understanding of music theory and practical music performance skills, in order to effectively deliver a rich and varied musical curriculum and the ability to inspire excellent learning.

You would ideally have experience in the planning and teaching of KS4 music and to have an enthusiastic approach to extra-curricular opportunities. As a school we have a fabulous CPD offer to support colleagues at whatever point in their career they are, from our ITT to our senior leaders. We also offer our staff a supportive welfare package including, but not limited to, access to physiotherapy, nurse & doctor appointments and counselling.

The Phoenix Collegiate is committed to the protection and safety of its students. An enhanced DBS will be required before commencement in the post.
