Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

Contract: 12‑month fixed term, hybrid working (3 days onsite)

Salary: £50,000‑£60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer, within the TPN Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reporting in line with group deadlines.
  • Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintaining the chart of accounts.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape decision‑making.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and supplier payments.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, active cash‑flow forecasting and management, and financial planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC, UK GAAP and all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain finance procedures, controls, and documentation, supporting audits and process improvements.
  • Prepare board and investor reporting, including monthly KPI packs.
  • Support, manage and develop finance team members where required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a finance role, ideally in healthcare or private sector.
  • Proficiency in Sage and advanced Excel, with experience building financial models, budgets and forecasts.
  • Experience with Xero and Zoho is desirable.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of UK financial regulations.
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, and management reporting.
