Job Title: Veterinary Receptionist

Location: Pets\’n\’Vets – Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital, Pollokshaws

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are currently seeking a Client Care Advisor to join our fantastic team. You will be front of house, welcoming clients and their pets into the practice. The Pets\’n\’Vets Family part of the Linnaeus Group have practices across the Glasgow area. We have a position primarily based at our Roundhouse Veterinary Hospital in the Pollokshaws, but the successful applicants may also be required to work at any of our other practices. The Roundhouse Hospital provides both a first-class referral service and 1st opinion clinical work.

Our receptionists are often the first point of contact when the client calls or arrives at the hospital and our other practices. The receptionists are a friendly face and listening ear when our clients need it most, and valued support for our clinical teams. Previous reception experience is necessary.

This is a permanent full-time position working 37.5h per week.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Managing the practice diary; booking in appointments and surgical procedures.
  • Answering a range of client questions via email and telephone.
  • Pro-active communication between clients and colleagues to ensure the day runs smoothly
  • Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc.
  • Processing prescription requests.
  • Taking payments.
  • Promoting offers and services.
  • Ensuring that reception is clean and well-stocked.
  • Excellent IT skills – Microsoft (Outlook, Word and Excel)
