A Day In The Life…
The Head of Supply Chain is looking for a Demand Planner to join our Operations team to manage our global demand planning process. You will be a pivotal part of the team and will serve as the face of operations to the rest of the business helping to lead the Sales and Operations plan. You will be passionate about getting involved in all operational processes, as well as being able to adapt when challenges are thrown our way. The person will need to provide solutions and drive projects forward to aid the business in achieving its yearly targets. The right talented individual would have experience working in a B2C/online e-commerce environment, with experience in demand planning.

Your day to day will look a little bit like this…
- Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate short-term and long-term demand forecasts using historical data, sales trends, and market insights.
- Collaborate with Marketing to incorporate promotional plans and product launches into forecasts.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models as necessary.
- Optimize inventory levels by balancing demand requirements with supply constraints.
- Identify and address potential stockouts or excess inventory situations.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze sales trends, seasonality patterns, and customer behaviour to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Create and present regular reports on demand forecasts, performance metrics, and inventory health to stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with supply chain to ensure optimal supply planning and vendor management.
- Align with logistics to ensure fulfillment efficiency and service level targets are met.
- Communicate with senior leadership to provide insights on demand trends and supply chain risks.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve forecasting processes, tools, and analytics to support business growth.
- Implement demand planning best practices and contribute to the development of planning systems.
Requirements
What You Need…
- 3-5 years’ experience in Merchandising, operations, demand planning, forecasting, or business analytics in consumer products required
- Experience in D2C/B2C ecommerce/retail environment
- Demonstrated analytical ability with an aptitude for building a narrative around the data that leads to action and an eye for business with the ability to work accurately, close attention to detail, and active listening skills
- Knowledge and understanding of S&OP, purchasing, forecasting and inventory management
- Expert level proficiency in MS Excel
- Optimally works with individuals and groups at all organization levels; capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Organized and detail-oriented, experienced in building out successful processes
- Self-motivated, a dot connector, and independent thinker
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to advocate for the digital channel
