Role Description

The Head Veterinarian will be responsible for leading the clinical team at our Feltham location in delivering exceptional veterinary care. This full-time, on-site role includes overseeing medical procedures, diagnosing and treating animals, performing surgeries, and providing preventative care. The Head Veterinarian will also be responsible for mentoring and developing the clinical team, collaborating with staff, and enhancing the quality of patient care through leadership and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical skills, including experience in diagnosis, treatment, and performing surgical procedures
  • Knowledge of preventative health care plans and treatments
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities, including mentorship and collaboration with veterinary and support staff
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills to provide compassionate care and effectively address pet owners’ concerns
  • Passion for continuous professional development and a commitment to keeping up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine
  • Veterinary degree and current registration to practice in the UK
  • Previous experience in a senior clinical role is advantageous
  • Proficiency in modern veterinary software or willingness to learn
