We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Insurance Administrator to join our Central Support team on a part-time basis. This is a key role supporting the end-to-end processing of insurance claims, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and outstanding customer service. This role will be based at our Rotherham Central Support Unit and the hours are Saturday and Sunday 9:00am-3:00pm.

In addition to claims administration, you will also be responsible for handling overflow telephone calls from surgeries during your working hours, providing professional and timely support to our customers.

Key responsibilities:
  • Process and manage insurance claims in line with internal procedures and compliance standards
  • Liaise with insurance companies and customers regarding direct and non-direct claims
  • Conduct policy checks and submit pre-authorisations for pending treatment
  • Maintain accurate claims and payment trackers, always ensuring data integrity
  • Monitor and manage outstanding insurance debt and support timely payment resolution
  • Update and reconcile customer accounts following insurer payments
  • Take overflow calls from surgeries, handling customer queries professionally and efficiently
  • Respond to customer queries relating to insurance claims via phone and email
  • Proactively contact customers regarding claim progress and updates
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth operational workflow
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as required
What we’re looking for:
  • Strong administrative and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident telephone manner and experience handling inbound calls in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in insurance administration, claims processing, or finance/admin roles (preferred)
  • Strong numeracy and ability to manage financial/admin trackers accurately
  • Competent IT skills including spreadsheets and digital systems
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a flexible, proactive approach
