We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Insurance Administrator to join our Central Support team on a part-time basis. This is a key role supporting the end-to-end processing of insurance claims, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and outstanding customer service. This role will be based at our Rotherham Central Support Unit and the hours are Saturday and Sunday 9:00am-3:00pm.
In addition to claims administration, you will also be responsible for handling overflow telephone calls from surgeries during your working hours, providing professional and timely support to our customers.
Key responsibilities:- Process and manage insurance claims in line with internal procedures and compliance standards.
- Liaise with insurance companies and customers regarding direct and non-direct claims.
- Conduct policy checks and submit pre-authorisations for pending treatment.
- Maintain accurate claims and payment trackers, always ensuring data integrity.
- Monitor and manage outstanding insurance debt and support timely payment resolution.
- Update and reconcile customer accounts following insurer payments.
- Take overflow calls from surgeries, handling customer queries professionally and efficiently.
- Respond to customer queries relating to insurance claims via phone and email.
- Proactively contact customers regarding claim progress and updates.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth operational workflow.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as required.
- Strong administrative and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident telephone manner and experience handling inbound calls in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in insurance administration, claims processing, or finance/admin roles (preferred).
- Strong numeracy and ability to manage financial/admin trackers accurately.
