This isn't just another nursing role. This is your chance to help build a practice where nursing truly matters. We're opening a brand-new, purpose-built veterinary surgery and looking for a passionate RVN to be part of the founding team, shaping how the clinic runs, how the team works, and how patient care is delivered from day one.

Why we are different

Too many nursing roles limit what you can do. This one won't. You'll be working in a state‐of‐the‐art, light and spacious surgery, fully equipped with modern diagnostics and designed to be calm for pets, comfortable for clients, and inspiring for colleagues. The surgery will have 8 consult rooms, 3 operating theatres, separate dental and imaging suites, with a spacious prep area and wards.

You will influence how the practice runs, how the team works together, and how care is delivered, all while being supported by one of the UK's largest independent, family‐owned veterinary groups. You'll be encouraged to fully utilise your skills from nurse clinics and Schedule 3 procedures to inpatient care, anaesthesia and client education all within a modern, well‐equipped environment designed with both patients and teams in mind. You won't just join a team you'll help create it.

The role

As a key member of the surgery team, you'll play a central role in delivering exceptional clinical care and an outstanding client experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting vets in consultations, diagnostics and surgery
  • Running nurse clinics and promoting preventive healthcare
  • Delivering inpatient care and monitoring anaesthesia
  • Undertaking laboratory work, radiography and theatre duties
  • Supporting and mentoring student nurses where applicable
  • Providing a warm, professional experience for every client and patient

You'll be hands‐on, proactive, and integral to how the practice runs day‐to‐day.

Working pattern

Full‐time rota with evenings and weekends 4 × 9 hour days. Average working week of 39 hours. Nurse care nights (with accommodation provided when required). Flexible working options considered.

We believe great nursing teams deserve to be recognised, supported and rewarded. Here is how we do it:

  • CPD support and development opportunities
  • Funded professional fees
  • Income protection
  • Work‐life balance & wellbeing
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Enhanced maternity & paternity pay
  • Generous staff discounts on treatments and products
  • Free consultations for your own pets
  • Retail, travel and lifestyle discounts
  • Free parking, uniform, fruit and more

You'll also have access to additional benefits including long service rewards, charity opportunities and career progression pathways.

About us

We are part of a nationwide, independent, family‐owned veterinary group committed to delivering exceptional care in the communities we serve. Our surgeries are modern, spacious and designed to create a calm environment for pets and a positive, collaborative space for teams. We invest in our people, support development, and create workplaces where colleagues genuinely enjoy coming to work.

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Are a qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Communicate confidently and compassionately
  • Want to fully utilise and develop your nursing skills
  • Are positive, proactive and adaptable

Be part of something from the beginning. If you're looking for a role where your voice is heard, your skills are valued, and you can help shape a brand‐new practice — we'd love to hear from you.
