About The Role
An integral member of the People Team, reporting to the Head of People, this hands-on role ensures that line managers and colleagues have access to the best people policies and frameworks, and are supported to foster a high-performing, engaged culture that enables the business to live its values and achieve its vision: to wow our customers by creating a happy, healthy, and stimulating environment for all our colleagues.
The Employee Relations Manager will provide support and advice on all people-related matters to colleagues and line managers to promote good employee relations across the organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws and promoting a positive work environment.
- Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Be the first point of contact for leaders managers, guiding them through complex HR cases.
- Risk assess ER issues, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
- Collaborate with the Head of People to upskill and train managers in handling ER matters.
- Maintain and analyse ER case logs to identify trends and support proactive decision-making.
- Stay updated with employment law changes, ensuring timely implementation.
What We\’re Looking For
- An energetic, positive, creative and team orientated person who is able to build great relationships with all our colleagues. Youll be a self-starter and self-motivated and be proactive, detail-orientated and calm under pressure
- CIPD Level 5 and proven HR experience providing employee relations and generalist HR advice.
- Previous work in an ER Advisor/Manager role or similar.
- Good knowledge of employment legislation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at different levels, including senior managers, across the organisation.
- Ability to manage a number of different priorities with resilience.
