Two part-time Receptionists are required to provide a professional welcome to parents and visitors and vital administrative support to the Upper School office. The role is part of the Maintenance department and is the first point of contact for the school.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide a professional welcome to parents, prospective parents, and visitors during term time (7.45 am – 5.45 pm, Monday–Friday) and holiday periods (8.00 am – 5.00 pm).
- Administrative support to Senior Staff, Academic Departments, Pastoral Team, and other departments during busy periods (e.g., Admissions).
- Maintain reception standards, manage inquiries, and provide information and assistance to staff and pupils.
- Cover alternate morning and afternoon shifts including handover periods (7.45 am – 1.00 pm and 12.30 pm – 5.45 pm).
- Provide flexibility to cover absence where required.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Experience in a reception or front‑desk environment is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ready to undergo child protection screening: references from previous employers, Disclosure and Barring Service check at the enhanced level, and eligibility to work in the UK.
