The Perse Sports Centre is looking for a Swim Helper to join their team. The Swim Helper will assist the Swim Teacher in delivering high quality swimming lessons by supporting learners in the water, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for all learners. The postholder’s main responsibility will be to provide safe and effective assistance to swimming lessons in line with guidance from a swim teacher.

They will be expected to provide a welcoming and pleasant class atmosphere to all pupils in lessons, whilst maintaining the high standards held within the swim school and being aware of all safety protocols and emergency procedures.

This is a casual zero hours contract and applicants must be over 18.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Swim Teacher in delivering swimming lessons.
  • Support learners in the water and provide safe and effective assistance.
  • Create a welcoming and pleasant class atmosphere for all pupils.
  • Maintain high standards of the swim school and adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Requirements:
  • Applicants must be over 18.
  • Must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including references from previous employers.
  • Must provide a Disclosure and Barring Service check at the enhanced level.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (in compliance with UK immigration regulations).
  • All work carried out at the School on a regular basis amounts to regulated activity; this role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
Employment Type: Casual zero hours contract.
