The Perse School is delighted to introduce an exciting new opportunity through the launch of its Rouse Scholar programme. Reflecting the School’s commitment to intellectual curiosity and scholarship, this new initiative will offer a small number of part‑time posts to graduates, doctoral researchers or post‑doctoral researchers who can contribute to our academic extension programme and wider intellectual life.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong academic backgrounds to share their subject expertise with able and ambitious pupils in a leading independent school. It would suit a graduate considering a future career in education, or someone looking to gain experience in a high‑achieving school setting before progressing to further study or another profession. It may particularly suit those wishing to combine school‑based work with current research, further study or other professional commitments.

Applications are welcomed from graduates across the full range of academic subject areas. The successful candidates will be expected to work closely with academic departments, support pupils’ learning, and participate in the wider life of the School. The Perse School is one of the country’s leading independent co‑educational day schools, providing a high quality education to pupils aged 3‑18 in Cambridge.
