Role Description

The Fundraising Events Executive is a full-time role based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with a hybrid working arrangement that allows some work from home.

Day-to-day responsibilities include planning, organising, and delivering fundraising events that support the Foundation's services and strategic objectives.

The role involves managing event logistics, coordinating venues and suppliers, handling budgets, and ensuring a high-quality experience for attendees and supporters.

The Fundraising Events Executive will cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, while identifying new fundraising opportunities and helping to develop event concepts and campaigns.

The role also includes preparing event communications, promotional materials, and post-event reports, as well as monitoring performance against targets and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in event planning and management, including logistics coordination, budgeting, and supplier/venue liaison.
  • Fundraising and donor stewardship skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with sponsors, supporters, and community partners.
  • Strong communication skills, including writing and presenting, and the ability to create clear, engaging event and promotional materials.
  • Organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities to deadlines.
  • Competence in using office software and digital tools (e. g., Microsoft Office, event management platforms, CRM or fundraising databases).
  • Experience in or commitment to the charity and disability sectors, with an understanding of inclusive practices and safeguarding principles.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, exercising initiative and sound judgment.
  • Relevant experience in fundraising, events, marketing, or charity administration; a related qualification or degree is an advantage but not essential.
