About Us: We are an independent, well-established small restaurant group based in Oxford, known for our commitment to casual excellence, exceptional service, and quality dining experiences. Our three fresh menu restaurants offer an exciting new challenge to those looking to take the next step in their marketing and social media career.
The Role: As our creative thinking Marketing and Social Media lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing our marketing and social media strategy across various platforms and media. You will work closely with the MD and our restaurant and event managers to implement a marketing strategy that covers social media content, B2B relationships, print, newsletters, and builds brand awareness and drives customer engagement. Prior experience in marketing and social media in hospitality and events is greatly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and social media strategy aligned with our restaurant identities and wedding and event service.
- Create compelling content for social media and print, including photos, videos, and written posts and newsletters, to showcase our restaurants, menu offerings, promotions, and events.
- Manage all social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring analytics to track performance.
- Create monthly engaging email newsletters for our two restaurant brands – Mamma Mia Summertown & Jericho & The Perch Inn.
- Work with our various sponsorships of local sports teams.
- Create print form mailshots and monthly table cards for The Perch and Mamma Mia, in line with our distinct brand images.
- Grow The Perch’s events account, @perchweddings, by attending select weddings over the summertime, filming content, tagging our suppliers, writing thoughtful captions, and collaborating with photographers/videographers to upload their (credited) work to our socials.
Requirements:
- Note that this is an office and restaurant-based position. Hours are flexible. Our business runs seven days a week, 364 days a year. A flexible and adaptable approach to working hours is essential.
- Proven experience in marketing and social media management, preferably within the hospitality or food industry.
- Photography and Videography experience and knowledge are essential.
- Experience in video, photo editing, and graphic design i.e. CapCut and Canva.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a creative approach.
- Strong understanding of social media analytics and tools to measure performance and optimise content strategy.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks effectively, and work independently.
- Passion for food, hospitality, and storytelling, with a genuine enthusiasm for sharing our restaurant experiences with our online community.
- Able to work some evenings and weekends to capture content.
