A growing construction and residential development business is entering a major new phase of expansion under new ownership and a modern, forward-thinking leadership team. As the company scales, we're strengthening the finance function and introducing clearer processes, reporting and controls to support a more structured, data-driven operation.
We're now looking for a Management Accountant to join the team. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, where you'll prepare monthly management accounts, support project reporting, complete reconciliations and provide accurate financial insight to senior management. You'll play a key part in improving processes, strengthening controls and helping build a more robust finance function as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Complete balance sheet and control account reconciliations
- Support VAT returns, CIS checks and compliance
- Assist with project reporting, cost tracking and financial analysis
- Work closely with the Financial Director to improve processes and reporting structures
- Support ledger functions and help strengthen financial accuracy across the department
- Provide clear financial insight to operational teams
- Assist with audit, tax and year-end preparation
- Handle ad-hoc finance tasks as the business evolves
- AAT Qualified or Part-Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
- Experience preparing management accounts and month-end schedules
- Strong reconciliations experience and attention to detail
- Confident with Excel and modern accounting systems
- Ideally exposure to construction or property, though not essential
- Analytical, organised and comfortable in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Someone who enjoys improving processes and building structure
- £50,000 - £60,000 salary
