Our client is a growing utilities infrastructure business delivering critical projects across the UK. As the business continues to expand, they are looking to appoint an experienced HSEQ Manager to take ownership of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management across the organisation.

You'll become the recognised HSEQ lead within the business, trusted to investigate incidents, manage major client relationships, oversee accreditations, drive continual improvement and ensure the organisation remains compliant across an increasingly demanding regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading complex incident investigations and presenting findings to major utility clients.
  • Managing insurance claims, producing project-specific RAMS, preparing for external audits, and supporting operational teams with critical compliance requirements.
  • Providing regular incident updates and performance reporting.
  • Maintaining Health & Safety and Environmental Legal Registers.
  • Developing and delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings, and inductions.
  • Identifying training needs across the workforce.
  • Producing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Supporting operational teams with project-specific risk management.
  • Managing utility damage and third-party insurance claims through to resolution.
  • Producing HSEQ performance metrics including LTIFR and AFR.
  • Managing environmental reporting, waste reporting, and carbon reporting.
  • Supporting commercial teams with PQQ submissions and client compliance requests.

Requirements:

  • Previous HSEQ, SHEQ or Health & Safety Management experience.
  • Utilities, energy infrastructure, gas, water or network construction experience.
  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis experience.
  • Experience producing RAMS and risk assessments.
  • Insurance claims management experience.
  • Excellent report writing and analytical capability.
  • NEBOSH Diploma.
  • NEBOSH Construction.
  • SMSTS.
  • SHEA Gas.
  • SHEA Water.
  • Water Hygiene.
  • Fire Marshal.

Working hours: Monday to Friday.
