If you've built your career within electrical wholesale, cable distribution or general technical trade sales, you'll know that great customer relationships are built on product knowledge, responsiveness and trust. Our client is a well-established and growing electrical cable distribution business looking to strengthen its Internal Sales team with an experienced senior account manager who understands the pace of the industry and enjoys supporting contractors, installers and industrial customers.

The Opportunity

This isn't a role where you'll be cold calling all day. Instead, you'll inherit an established portfolio of trade customers (usually electrical wholesales or electrical contractors), becoming their trusted point of contact for quotations, pricing, product advice and ongoing account management. You'll enjoy building long-term relationships, solving customer problems and helping contractors get what they need when they need it.

Your day could include:

  • Managing an established portfolio of electrical contractors, OEMs, wholesalers and industrial customers
  • Producing competitive quotations and converting enquiries into orders
  • Advising customers on electrical cable and associated products
  • Negotiating commercially whilst protecting margin
  • Building repeat business and identifying new opportunities within existing accounts
  • Liaising with suppliers to source products and manage availability
  • Working closely with purchasing and logistics to deliver excellent customer service
  • Updating CRM and supporting the wider sales team
